Windows Downloads

Some AOL/Compuserve users are reporting problems with corrupted downloads. There appears to be a problem with the AOL network and/or software. AOL/Compuserve workaround

• Full Install US version (31MB) - To install double click on the downloaded file, rwarew32.exe, and follow the simple on screen instructions. Primary Download Site  -  Secondary Download Site

• Upgrade Install (8MB) - This is for users who already have Readerware 2.70 or higher installed and will upgrade your system to the latest version of Readerware. The only difference between the full and upgrade installers is that the full installer also includes the Java runtime. Users who already have Java (Java 1.3.1-Java 5) installed can use the upgrade installer.

  To install this upgrade double click on the downloaded file, rwupdw32.exe, and follow the simple on screen instructions.

• Full Install International version (34MB) - To install double click on the downloaded file, rwarew32i.exe, and follow the simple on screen instructions. This international version includes support for international fonts and character sets. Readerware itself is only available in English. Primary Download Site - Secondary Download Site


• No Frills Installer (28MB) - Use this if you have problems with the regular installers. It is a self-extracting executable that will copy Readerware to your hard drive. Then add your own shortcuts. Minimum System Requirements

• Windows Vista:
  • 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 GB of system memory
  • At least 90 MB of free disk space
• Windows XP:
  • PC with 300 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed
  • 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher
  • At least 90 MB of free disk space
• Windows 2000:
  • Pentium with 133 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed
  • 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher
  • At least 90 MB of free disk space
• Windows Server 2003:
  • PC with 133 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed
  • 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher
  • At least 90 MB of free disk space

For best results a screen resolution of at least 800 by 600 and more than 256 colors is recommended. As usual more memory equals better performance.
